Election Season is not yet over in California. Next Tuesday will be the special election December 9th to replace former state Sen. Roderick D. Wright. This election is for the 35th State Senate District in the greater Los Angeles area. There will be three Democrats on the ballot and one Republican, but my support goes to Democratic Assemblyman Isadore Hall.
Isadore Hall has a proven track record. He has served on the Compton School Board, the Compton City Council and in the State Assembly. One of his local accomplishments while in the State Assembly was authoring legislation to help build the world's first "green" professional football stadium, in LA County. I look forward to seeing what more he can deliver for our area while in the State Senate.
We have cohosted events together over the years, and I've gotten to know his working style firsthand. More about Isadore.
He will do a great job for the people of the 35th Senate District, and I hope that you will be sure to vote for Isadore Hall for State Senate on December 9th. If necessary, there will be a runoff election on February 10th next year.
Not sure if you are in District 35? This is a list of polling places in the district and here is a map of the district. Senate District 35 is based on nesting Assembly District 62 and Assembly District 64, and includes the Los Angeles County communities of Carson, Compton, West Compton, Gardena, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lennox, West Carson, Watts, Willowbrook, and Wilmington. The cities of Inglewood, Long Beach, Los Angeles and Torrance were split to achieve population equality between Senate districts.
