Proud to support Gavin Newsom again to be California’s next Governor!
I endorsed Gavin Newsom because he will take action on California’s homeless crisis. As he put it, "Governors have not campaigned on homelessness, governors haven't talked about homelessness, that’s about to change..."
As Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom was far ahead of the curve fighting homelessness and made real progress -- moving 12,000 individuals off the street. He will bring that success statewide, including here in Los Angeles County where we need it most.
In their endorsement, the LA Times said, "The next governor will face a severe housing crisis, crumbling infrastructure, enormous unfunded pension liabilities, failing schools, rampant homelessness and regular mudslides, floods and mega-fires. California cannot afford a dilettante or an amateur. It needs a seasoned leader who is savvy and charismatic, politically adroit, compassionate and innovative. Newsom is ready to be California’s next governor."
I wholeheartedly agree. Gavin Newsom has earned our support. Newsom's opponent would take us backwards, not forwards. We must elect Newsom on November 6th, so that he can get real busy on ending homelessness, ending child poverty, creating more good-paying jobs, and building more housing to address the state’s severe housing shortage and affordability crisis.
