Join the African American Voter Registration, Education, and Participation (AAVREP) Project and Governor Jerry Brown, Tuesday Oct. 23 at 7pm for a telephone town hall on Propositions 30 and 32. Proposition 30 will prevent $6 billion in cuts to our schools by asking the wealthy to pay a little more. Proposition 32 is an attempt by corporate special interests to silence working Californians’ voice in the political process.
SEIU ULTCW President Laphonza Butler and the AAVREP agree that if we pass Proposition 30 and defeat Proposition 32, the wealthy and big oil companies will pay a little bit more so that all Californians have access to quality schools and a voice in our state’s future.
RSVP here and on Tuesday Oct. 23 and AAVREP will call you to join the telephone townhall.
